This elegant Shrewsbury pedestal cake stand, dating back to around 1920, features a beautiful combination of clear glass on top and nickel silver on the base. Nickel silver was created to provide the luxurious look of silver with greater resistance to tarnish and, therefore, less maintenance. The design includes a beaded edge and a diamond pattern on the glass.
